The PRISE International Research Foundation (PRISE Foundation) has been established in 2023. Its mission is to promote knowledge development, preservation and update in the fields of resource efficiency, environmental safety and sustainability. It builds on the legacy of Professor Jiří Jaromír Klemeš. The following are the key goals of the Foundation:

  • Protect the name of the traditional conference “Process Integration, Modelling and Optimisation for Energy Saving and Pollution Reduction” – with the short distinctive title “PRES” followed by the year of the conference, preserve and multiply its heritage in science, engineering and societal impact.
  • Organise conferences PRES annually as a major platform for scientific and societal discourse
  • Foster and steer scientific excellence for finding and devising solutions to the problems of sustainable development and resource efficiency in society.
  • Build and sustain a network of engineers, researchers and citizens with the knowledge and skills to implement those solutions.
  • Develop further innovative information and knowledge platforms — journals, and knowledge bases, for facilitating research and implementing its results.
  • Issuing a periodic award for high-level contribution

The annual conferences PRES: Conference on Process Integration, Modelling and Optimisation for Energy Saving and Pollution Reduction are tracked at the following website: CONFERENCEPRES.SITE.

The venue for the year 2024 is The 27th Conference on Process Integration, Modelling and Optimisation for Energy Saving and Pollution Reduction. The abstract submission and access to the online part of the conference are performed via  https://registration.sdewes.org/pres24 using the COMET system. If you have a COMET account, you can reuse it.

The PRISE Foundation has launched a directly affiliated International Scientific Committee (PRISE ISC). The PRISE ISC is appointed for every calendar year and serves all venues organised by the foundation during the year.
